HOW SHOULD I PREPARE THE MOTOR CLUTCH FOR WINTER?
1️⃣ Oil and filter replacement
- Fit original filters and use oil with the grade specified in the manual.
- This applies to both the clutch unit and the pump unit.
2️⃣ Diesel circuit maintenance
- Replace the diesel filters and add an anti-algae additive.
- Start the engine for about one minute to circulate the additive through the system.
3️⃣ Coolant filling
- Close the delivery valve and circulate the coolant: this lubricates internal parts, prevents oxidation, and stops water from freezing.
4️⃣ Clutch adjustment and greasing
- Use the feeler gauge through the inspection window under the manufacturer’s plate.
- Lubricate via the designated grease fittings to keep it ready for use.
5️⃣ Battery management
- Disconnect the battery terminals to preserve them during storage.
6️⃣ Fuel tank filling
- Keep the tank at 90% full to reduce condensation formation.
7️⃣ Indoor storage
- Store the machine in a covered, dry location to protect it from moisture and condensation.
8️⃣ Thorough cleaning
- Clean the machine carefully, avoiding getting electrical components wet.
9️⃣ Radiator cleaning
- Blow air over the fins, keeping a safe distance to avoid damaging the aluminium blades.
